Today, May 4th, 2017 it is the ninth anniversary of the death of Leo Jackson. In behalf of the members of the Jim Reeves fan club, a floral tribute has been put on his grave which is situated in the Memory Gardens in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

The text on the card reads: "In Memory of Leo Jackson. His friendship, kindness and above all  his guitar picking will never be forgotten.  - Members of the Jim Reeves fan club".

The memory of Leo Jackson will live on, not only in the hearts and minds of his relatives and friends, but he also left a  vast number of recordings where he played on, which will give enjoyment to present and future listeners. My favorite Leo Jackson performances are the ones which he did at the Friday Night Frolic Opry show, the various Forces shows, the European tour of 1964, and the Mountain View Park live show in 1961. Especially the latter recording shows Leo at his best on lead guitar.

With special thanks to Gary Neely, of Ruth Flowers,  who also took these pictures.   Flower arrangements by RUTH FLOWERS, 1203 South Dickerson Road, Goodletsville, TN 37072 . Phone: (615) 859-7551
